OK, so I have been busy lately. I had an operation. My daughter got married. We had some hurricanes. Everyone is fine. Just checking in here.

Of course I know I haven't said anything yet. I will get to it! Let me finish my tiling project first!

What's doing in Miami this weekend

Friday-Sunday: The Gables continues its extreme makeover as a happening suburb, celebrating the Merrick Festival with its comely sister cities Aix-en-Provence and Cartagena all weekend long at Miracle Mile, the Village of Merrick Park and City Hall. At Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, check out the heliconias and gingers at the annual Heliconia Show (go even if you're not in the market for these gorgeous plants; it's the best time of year to visit).
